Katy Texas

The city of Katy Texas was originally known as Cane Island and located is located 25 miles West of Houston on Interstate Highway 10 and US Highway 90. With a local population at 2013 of 15,013 and a greater area population of over 300,000 people. Katy Texas also contains three different counties (Harris, Waller and Fort Bend). Katy's proximity to what is know as the Oil and Gas corridor, makes it very attractive destination for families to live and work.

It's history dates back to the late 1800's with the area now known as Old Katy being part of the MKT railway line transporting goods, and passengers between the cities of Missouri-Kansas-Texas.
